RHONJ: Danielle is Crazy

This is not new news...but Danielle is slightly crazy.  What in the world did she do to her face?  Her eyebrows are not even close to looking natural.  I hate to rag on someone's looks, but how was she a model?  It looks like she's had too much face work done...and it's not helping.  I bring this up because she is trying to live too vicariously through her daughter's modeling "career".  Danielle talks about her modeling experiences but do they really exist?  Who did she model for...what did she model?

She is desperate...the way she asks her daughters for advice is pathetic.  Her daughters will essentially tell her to stop stalking people and to stop being crazy.  It's pathetic...it's a cry for help.  Her poor daughters.

Danielle complains about not having money...yet she continues to go get pedicures and drive her Range Rover.  She is quite the hypocrite.

Lastly, what is up with Bravo showing 30 second clips of the show and then going right back to commercials?!?!

Can Opener: Found

So the missing can opener, which was black (not red), was found in Mark's car.  Odd, huh?  Apparently he had it in his car because he packed it up from his old office after he quit.  I still don't get why it a. was in his office to begin with and b. never brought inside from the car.  Oh well!  I still think we're missing a red one though.

"This is why I don't cook..."

Missing: can opener.  Last seen: a few months ago. I think it was red.

Seriously, this is why I don't cook.  I had grand aspirations this morning to be productive.  I was going to clean, do laundry, make some spaghetti sauce.  The fact of the matter is that I haven't *really* cooked in three months so this was going to be a big deal.  It's been three months since my new job.  I started to brown the onions in a pot in olive oil.  The next step was to add the tomato paste.  Oh wait...can't add it because our can opener is MIA.  I looked through every cabinet and every drawer.  I even went downstairs to the utility room to see if Mark had misplaced it there with his tools.  Nope.

Now I'm mad because my cooking efforts were thwarted.  So before I suck it up, get dressed, and get my face on to buy a new one...I'm going to watch some SATC episodes.

I want that backsplash!

I saw this backsplash in a magazine (from the library - love my library which has a drive thru window) a few months ago.  I just now was able to find the photo - yay!  One day I will have a backsplash like this rather than our boring white wall!

Restaurant Review: Blue Moon Cafe

I had to be downtown this weekend for something work-related, so Mark, being the good sport he is, agreed to accompany me.  We went to Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point since Mark has never been there and the little restaurant always gets rave reviews.  I had been once with a friend of mine.

Thank goodness it was a gorgeous morning since we had to wait for a little over an hour.  The place is small (aka cramped) with eclectic decorations.  I ordered the eggs benedict since I am quite obsessed and have to try them everywhere.  Mark ordered the Cap'n Crunch French Toast - they are famous for this.  Oh yeah, Blue Moon is kind of famous because they were featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

Our food came out impressively hot - kind of rare at many breakfast places.  My eggs were tasty...not as good as my place in Georgetown...but not bad.  Mark's french toast was also good...kind of too sweet though.  The hash browns were okay...nothing to write home about; on the other hand, our fruit was fresh and hit the spot.  Oh and Mark was impressed with their coffee.  The service was pretty good, though our waitress did forget our cinnamon bun.

In the end, our bill was kind of pricey given what you get...but overall, you have to try this place at least once in your life, especially if you live in the Baltimore area!
